Backstory
Experience Designer passionate about bringing good to the world through design.
Growing up, I was a good kid. At age 12, in exchange for a respectable report card at school, my parents invested in a PC for my sisters and I. We got the latest i486 DX2-66MHz with a whopping 8MB RAM and 212MB of trunk space. Yes, I said megabytes. How would I ever fill up that behemoth? My friends were jealous as I instantly felt a sense of The Jetsons lifestyle upon me. I hoped for my next report card, dad would bring home a flying car, and then we’d be set!
At that time, consumer internet didn’t exist yet, and software was expensive, so I spent a lot of time using my shiny new computer to create digital art using the built-in Microsoft Paint. I had all of 256 colors of freedom at my fingertips to create whatever I wanted, one pixel at a time. I became pretty good at it too!
That’s how it all started. My obsession with Digital Design. 486’s evolved into MacBook Pro’s. Kilobytes became Terabytes. A hobby to kill a few hours after school became a 25 year professional design career.
I’m still working on getting that flying car though.
